Foreword
I like presenting facts to later come into the myth itself. Now, this does not mean that the myth is false or unreliable, on the contrary, this means that the myth can only be better approached when factual knowledge is attained. A second important practice for me is recovering information from sources like books or good magazines or videos rather than from other internet sites. I do this, because as valuable as internet is (I'm using it right now!) it tends to transform this kind of information into gossips or half truths. A lot of people is not very responsible regarding the way they read and handle information. Therefore, sources on the internet must be handled very carefully. In any case, and above all, there is no greatest pleasure than unveiling the mysteries of a certain topic, than by reading and smelling a wonderful book. As a result of all these and of my never ending wish of promoting the ancient technique of reading, you will find very few links and a lot of books recommended here.
Through reason and intuition (in words of my ancestors "Know the world of Tonal for the world of Nahualli is not accessible by other means -meaning the world of intuition is only accessible by the world of the factual)
A few years ago back in the confusing and chaotic 80's a man named Michael Green, published by means of Running Press Book Publishers, a book called De Historia Et Veritate Unicornis/on the History and Truth of the Unicorn
which could be translated as "About the History and True of the Unicorn". The book presents pictures of many pages of supposedly ancient book called Codex Unicornis. The book contains beautiful drawings containing the unicorn and other alchemy symbols. Everything with a mixture between medieval and renaissance art. The whole book is in Latin -which I checked my self by scanning and zooming on the pages, surprisingly being able to clearly read the Latin therein contained-, and it gives accurate descriptions on the unicorn and its types and customs. I must say that after many years of being very much in love with such a creature and having felt his presence in the woods, the information in this book matches with the information I've gathered through the years; except for the fact of the existence of a brotherhood devoted to protect, and (until very recently) spread its teachings of love. Although I do not believe this last part, I do know that the unicorn is powerful enough to express itself through many means. The aforementioned means that even when the book was a beautiful counterfeit, the truth about this marvelous beast would come to the surface. Let us not forget that even a broken clock is right two times a day. Having exposed some of my sources and clarifying that I'm a faithful person, believing in that that probes right through reason and intuition at the same time -for one is useless without the other-, I give you what has come to me by books, dreams, tales and intuition. I give you what I believe to be my truth about the unicorn, accurate but not absolute or complete. All these in the expectation of improving my knowledge and having the Platonic pleasure of discussion.

The Origins of unicorns
According to Magnalucius, an alchemist born in 1457 (who we know about by the aforementioned book compiled by Michael Green) the unicorn was born with the universe itself. He was born before time, out of the need for balance. God (in no particular religious form, actually called The Only Saint)realized that once light and darkness had been separated, darkness started pulling everything towards it. A chant was heard, out of that unbalance, an modulated by God it became a great note of sweetness. And so the powerful chant became a spirit called Galgallim. He was there from the begin to cast light upon things. He was there until The Saint realized that he needed a canvas to paint his greatness, and so he decided to make the earth. Galgallim then was requested to take a shape, come to earth, and therefore be of greater service to his creator. The spirit came down to earth before the primal fires had extinguished, and so the first unicorn was born out of light and was named Asallam, beautiful and with a wonderful horn his forehead, a horn that was the sign of Galgallim.
It results obvious that there is a myth about genesis, and as in any such myths the need for balance is present. The unicorn can be seen here as an extension of God himself, an angel sent by him in a different form. The unicorn is here a primal creature, one before and therefore wiser.
I will continue with this blog throughout the month.
Thank your for reading, I will also be including various sources.
